Story shared by visitors

I bought this brick for my dad, he was a lifelong Sunderland supporter. He came to the North of Ireland in 1959 and never went back! He passed on his love of the club to me. Sadly dad passed away in 2005. I eventually got to see the brick in real life 2 years ago. My husband brought me to see Bruce Springsteen at the stadium. We went in search of dad’s brick, I knew which panel but you can imagine the chaos after a concert. We stopped 2 different stewards to ask and both ended up being Middlesbrough supporters, I can just imagine my dad’s reaction to that! It was an emotional moment for me but I’m so glad I got to see. Now I need to come back for a match!
