Story shared by visitors

My dad became a Sunderland supporter after watching the very first English league match shown on Norwegian television in 1969 – Wolves v Sunderland. He was only nineteen, but from that day Sunderland was his club. The FA Cup triumph in 1973 only strengthened that bond. We shared many trips to the Stadium of Light together, creating memories that I will always treasure. In 2008, I bought him this brick as a Christmas gift. He was incredibly proud to know that a small part of him would always belong at Sunderland. My dad passed away in 2020. I haven’t been back since, but one day I’ll return to stand beside this brick, remember him, and thank Sunderland for giving us something so special to share. Forever in our hearts. Ha’way the Lads.
